God’s blessings and peace be upon you and your loved ones today and always. The United Methodist Church of Hempstead is pleased to announce the appointment of Rev. Annette Rodríguez as Pastor. Rev. Annette led her first worship service on Sunday, July 4, 2021.
Pastor Annette is a “Nuyorican” Bronx native, born and raised between the Soundview and Parkchester areas. She is bilingual, speaking both Spanish and English, and comes from a ministerial family as her mother was a Pastor of a non-denominational church in the West Farms section of the Bronx when she was growing up. Pastor Annette has a B.A. from New York University, an M.B.A. in Healthcare Administration from Hofstra University, and an M.Div. from Duke Divinity School in Durham, NC.
Prior to her arrival at Hempstead, Pastor Annette served as a Chaplain Resident at the Durham VA Hospital, as Associate Pastor of Epworth United Methodist Church under the leadership of Rev. Morais Quissico, and most recently as Pastor of Woodycrest UMC in the Bronx.
