Youth Ministry

The Youth Group meets on the first and third Friday of each month at 7:00pm for fun, faith and fellowship.

Mission Statement

Youth Ministry strives to provide a variety of opportunities and experiences to draw our youth into active, responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the faith community and greater church. Through Youth Ministry, we will foster the total personal and spiritual growth of our youth. Youth Ministry will reach out to our youth with the love of God, as revealed to us in Jesus Christ, through the power of the Holy Spirit, in the spirit of fun, faith, and fellowship.

Affirmation

We the youth of the United Methodist Church of Hempstead strive to share and embrace our gifts, grow in life skills and develop a positive self-image. We will overcome our prejudices by developing respect for our differences. We will serve those in need and foster social change. Through participation in the sacraments, we will develop our personal spirituality and prayer life, applying and integrating Christian faith to our daily lives, enabling us to develop our personal relationship with Jesus, strengthen our faith, and discover new friendships.
