A message from our pastor

Rev. Phillips

Grace and peace to you!

On behalf of our church family at The United Methodist Church of Hempstead, I extend to you a heartfelt welcome. My name is Rev. Wesley Daniel, and I am honored to serve as your new pastor. I am excited to become part of this vibrant community of people on the move with God. Whether you are searching for a spiritual home, returning to faith after a season away, or simply curious about who we are, you have found a place where you belong. We are a community of imperfect people drawn together by a perfect God.

Our doors are open to all—regardless of where you come from, what you have been through, or where you are on your journey of faith. Here, you will find worship that stirs the soul, fellowship that strengthens the spirit, and a mission that calls us beyond ourselves to serve our neighbors in Hempstead and beyond. We believe that the Church is made up of all God’s people, and every one of us is welcome at the table. I would be honored to meet you, pray with you, and walk alongside you as we journey and grow together in God’s love and grace, building up the beloved community of justice and peace.

I invite you to join us for worship, explore our ministries, Initiate new ministries and discover the life-giving community that awaits you. This is more than a church—it is a family, and we would love for you to be a part of it.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
— Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
