Rev. Garcia is Guest Speaker at UMC Meeting/Luncheon

At the October UMW general meeting and luncheon, the ladies were treated to a meaningful presentation by our own Rev. Garcia on the topic, “Speaking Words of Love.” The meeting began with a meditation on the scripture verses from 1 John 4: 7-8 and 18-21.
Pastor read John 4: 7-8 to us which said in part: “Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God. We cannot love God if we do not love our brothers and sisters.”

Pastor explained this is one of the most difficult passages in the Bible as we have many failings as human beings. He also spoke of verbally expressing our love to our families and others as this offers a blessing that will be long remembered.

UMW thanks the Pastor for spending time with us and delivering a positive message which was well received by all.
